Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) is a leading international tobacco company that is also actively present in pharmaceuticals and processed foods. He earned Ph.D. in Agricultural study from the University of Tokyo. He has played various roles in Japan Tobacco Inc.; such as a Researcher, R&D Strategy Manager, and Human Resource Director before joining the business development team.

Mr. Noor Amal joined MTDC in 2005 as the Senior Manager of the Research and Information Department; and prior to assuming his current position, Noor Amal held various positions at MTDC including as SVP & Head of the Ecosystems & Technology Advisory Department and the Vice President (VP) for several venture funds focusing on the life-sciences & biotechnology, advanced materials and advanced manufacturing sectors. He has vast experience in strategic management, developing seeds and start-up ventures.
Mr. Rizal graduated from Imperial College, University of London in Mechanical Engineering with first class honours, and then obtained the master degree in Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia. His primary responsibility is to drive the strategic SME development with respect to SME Master Plan and SME Integrated Plan of Action, internationalisation of SMEs, business and entrepreneurship development, coordinating the National SME Development Council (NSDC) as well as strategising the economic policies pertaining to SME development which will ultimately increase Malaysia's GDP, exports and job creation.
Mr. Irfan has had prior experience in engineering and technical support fields as a chemical engineer, having been exposed to one of main palm oil milling, refining and processing companies. His advice on identification of patentable inventions, drafting of patent specifications, and prosecution of Malaysian and overseas patent applications are sought after by clients and colleagues alike. Mr. Irfan’ s opinions on patentability, infringement, IP audit and valuation, IP commercialization, freedom-to-operate and validity have played a key role in clients’ decision-making process for launch of their products into the Malaysian and foreign market.
