TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in THAILAND 2019: ReadRing team won the Grand Winner Award

This is the 4th year Leave a Nest conducted TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in Thailand on 6th July 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.

9 finalists were chosen out of 20 applications to showcase their core technology, business model and issues that they want to solve in front of the caliber judges from Leave a Nest, Mitsui Chemical Singapore R&D Centre Pte. Ltd., Delightex Pte. Ltd., AUN-seed, TCELS, RISE accelerator, SPRINT accelerator and NIA. The finalists were from various backgrounds such as Agri Tech, IoT, Bio Tech and Deep Tech.

The invited keynote speaker, Dr. Warangkhana Phanwanich, was from the iVet team that won the grand winner of TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in Thailand 2018 who shared about her experience and journey on Tech Planter program. She gave an energetic presentation together with encouragement words to the finalists this year.

We introduced various awards from our partners. Team ReadRing that worked on building a portable re-printable braille machine for blind people to read text in real time won Grand Winner prize. The winner received JPY 300,000 cash prize, return airfares and accommodation for 2 team members to join TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in SINGAPORE 2019 in the final regional round. Winner from Singapore round will be invited to join meeting in Tokyo Japan in March 2020.
