Galansiyang Developers is the Grand Winner of TECH PLAN Demo Day in the Philippines 2022

On the 14th of May 2022, the TECH PLAN Demo Day in the Philippines 2022 was held at the HRT Building of the Iloilo Science and Technology University. It was the first Demo Day in the Philippines since the pandemic that had a hybrid on-site and online implementation, where all finalists, several judges and lightning talk speakers were able to attend on-site.

This year, 9 finalists and 5 lightning talk speakers were able to pitch their technologies that are aiming to solve different issues in the Philippines involving the environment, aquaculture, healthcare, energy and science education. They were able to share their passion and vision to the panel of judges from Leave a Nest Philippines, Mitsui Chemicals Singapore R&D Centre Pte. Ltd., RTHD Singapore Pte. Ltd., BIPROGY (previously known as Nihon Unisys), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Manila Angel Investors Network, PhilDev Foundation, and QBO Innovation Hub / IdeaSpace.

The Leave a Nest Team extends our gratitude to all the judges for their enthusiasm and feedback that has greatly helped the participants and made the event a huge success. We would also like to thank the administration and staff of Iloilo Science and Technology University, including their Kwarda TBI incubatees for joining us and making this event more fruitful.

This year's Demo Day and after-event mixer has given several opportunities to our participants to connect and interact for possible future collaborations, but a few teams stood out as they are given different awards. Crowned as the Grand Winner this year is Galansiyang Developers, a team with a vision of planting trees with drones like a bird to aide the reforestation and rehabilitation of mines. With their drone and GIS technology, rehabilitation can be sped up and consistently monitored.

• • Technology Theme: Novel aviation sealant made from agricultural waste material
  • Award Inclusions: 2,500 SGD Cash Prize

4. REAL TECH HOLDINGS AWARD: Exora Technologies

• • Technology Theme: Platform for selecting best fit and optimized electricity contracts and energy management
  • Award Inclusions: 2,500 SGD Cash Prize

5. BIPROGY AWARD: Getlab@Home

• • Technology Theme: Application and medical device to deliver healthcare data
  • Award Inclusions: 2,500 SGD Cash Prize

6. MITSUI O.S.K. LINES AWARD: Recool Technologies

• • Technology Theme: Recool Smartbox: Condensation refrigeration for fish storage powered through solar energy
  • Award Inclusions: 2,500 SGD Cash Prize
