Mr. Abdul Hakim Sahidi,  Managing Director, Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Mr. Abdul Hakim Bin Sahidi is one of the pioneer members at Leave A Nest Malaysia when he joined the company in 2016 and now established a strong passionate teams in the country. His passion is in business and technology advancement that could bring greater impacts to the society. He has been mentoring researchers and startups in Malaysia and Indonesia and bridging them with the right partners from local and Japan.  His current mission is to nurture more technopreneurs in Malaysia and support the implementation of meaningful technologies to the society.

Dr Sachin Malwadkar, Project Manager, Mitsui Chemicals Singapore R&D Centre, Pte. Ltd.

Mitsui Chemicals Inc. is one of the diversified companies in Japan and providing wide variety of chemicals and polymers globally. This will help to build a better future for the society in business domains mainly, Mobility, Health Care, Food & Packaging, Next Generation Businesses and Basic Materials. Dr Sachin associate with Mitsui Chemicals Singapore R&D centre, Singapore for new business in the field of catalysis for basic chemicals, basic materials, Health care, Agrochemicals and identification of outside partner candidates. He is looking for new business opportunities making best use of open innovation combining with Mitsui Chemicals' proprietary technologies.

Mr. Naofumi Yoshida, Manager of Global Business Division, BIPROGY Inc.

Since his joining BIPROGY Inc., he has engaged in development of new overseas business including M&A projects. He also has over 20 years work experience in the Semiconductor industry, as an international sales, product marketing, and BizDev. He earned his MBA from the Krannert business school, Purdue University.

Mr. Yuji Niwa, Assistant Manager at Business innovation & DX Strategy Div., Mitsubishi Electric Corporation

Joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in 2011. He started his career in sales and marketing of energy management solutions in Japan. After that, he was engaged in the establishment of smart metering systems for utility companies in Southeast Asia and Europe and completed projects with strategic partners. He has been in the current position since April 2021 and leading open innovation at Mitsubishi Electric.

Mr. Yusuke Miyazaki, Manager, NIPPON SHOKUBAI CO., LTD.

Since 1941, Nippon Shokubai has grown up its business with unique catalyst technology and has supplied, for example, ethylene oxide, acrylic acid, automobile catalysts, process catalysts and so on. Among all, its global market share of superabsorbent polymers is the largest in the world now. Its R&D teams are especially focusing on ICT, energy & resources, and life sciences as their new core business. In Singapore, a collaborative research project with Nanyang Technological University started in 2017 to develop new technologies and products. Mr. Miyazaki is a manager of the project, who had been in charge of the bioprocess research and development for a decade when he was in Japan. In addition to his research activity in NTU, he is also looking for new opportunities to collaborate with other companies in new ways based on his   biological background.

Mr. Kenji Yamamoto, Director, Real Tech Holdings Singapore Pte. Ltd.

Kenji is Director of Real Tech Holdings Singapore and manages deep tech VC investments in the Southeast Asia region. Prior to his position, he has had over 10 years of experience in equity investments across Asia, US and Africa. He has served as Principal at TPTF, US-APAC tech VC, and as Deputy General Manager of the investment division for an international mining/materials company. He started his career as a co-founder of a startup in Japan as leading sales & marketing and finance functions. He earned his MBA from INSEAD and majored in nuclear engineering in the University of Tokyo.

Mr. Kamarul A Muhamed,  Founder and Group CEO, Aerodyne Group

Mr. Kamarul is the Founder and CEO of Aerodyne Group; a Malaysian-founded drone solutions provider ranked first in the world by Drone Industry Insights of Germany. A futurist and technology thought leader, he often speaks on leadership, the economy and future tech worldwide. He sits on several national councils; The 4IR and digital economy, the Bumiputera prosperity and the National Economic Council. He is also a board member of Malaysia’s Central Bank. He is an alumnus of Oxford University’s Said Business School. His tertiary study is in Accounting and Finance with a post-graduate in Information System Management.

Dr. Hanafiah bin Yussof, Founder and Group CEO, Robopreneur Sdn. Bhd.

Dr. Hanafiah Yussof is the Founder and Group CEO of Robopreneur Sdn Bhd, a pioneer and market leader in service robotics technology and solutions in Malaysia. Robopreneur has been involved in modernizing businesses and accelerating digital lifestyles in the country. With more than 20 years of experience in robotics research and development, Dr Hanafiah is a prominent figure for the adoption of robotics technology in businesses. Dr. Hanafiah has won several academic and business awards including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award 2021 (top nominee in Technology Category). Dr Hanafiah started the business in 2015 as a Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) start-up company to commercialize his patented research on a Robotics Rehabilitation System for autistic children. In 2018, Robopreneur developed the first humanoid robot in Malaysia named ADAM. Upon its success, Dr Hanafiah expanded Robopreneur’s R&D capabilities to offer robotics, automation and artificial intelligence (AI) products and solutions for the digital transformation of commercial businesses and social enterprises.

Mr. Ang Kah Heng, Head of Innovation and Industry Development Department, Cyberview Sdn. Bhd. 

Ang heads the Innovation and Industry Development Department under Technology Hub Development Division in Cyberview overseeing the Smart City initiatives and Cyberview Living Lab programmes covering the Talent, Accelerator, Pilot, and Enterprise pillars. Previously, he was a Regional Manager for Asia involved in business development focusing on attracting digital technology investment from Greater China. Ang also has more than 10 years experience in industry talent development and talent analytics covering both scaleups and startups. Ang holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and the PMP® credential.

Mr. Mohamad Ameer Bukhqari Mohmad Nor, Assistant Vice President, Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd.

Mohamad Ameer Bukhqari Mohamad Nor is a tech transfer officer at the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) with over 7-years of experience in R&D and technology transfer and commercialisation. He has been involved in the government fund management and has managed several government funds related to commercialisation. He is currently completing his Master’s Degree in the same field.

Ts. Noor Azmi bin Mat Said, Chief Executive Officer, Human Life Advancement Foundation (HLAF)

HLAF is an international foundation that strive to bridge gap between nations for the betterment of human life through active aggregation and dissemination of knowledge, enabling technology, methodology and program or platform that address such disparity. With 30 years of working experience, Azmi has initiated several business start-ups and was involved in multiple scales of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in Product Development, Business Scale-Up, Manufacturing Set-Up, Operation Model, Business Model, Financial Model, Business Turnaround, Fund Structuring/Raising and Venture Capital operation.
